A big shout-out to the guy that fitted a new Pole & Aerial for me today, it was lashing down, poor guy.

 

The heavy showers have stopped and its just raining now.

Cold one last night. There is a tree in a neighbour's garden coming into bloom. The leaves have gone but the flowers are coming out. It looks like a Ribes or even some sort of Cherry. Too far away to identify.
I suppose it could be a Prunus subhirtella 'Rosea'.

 

A big change from yesterday with frost overnight and wall to wall sunshine all day, 8C/46F. Into single figure winter temperatures now, it's currently 3C/37F. Snow is on the cards for Sunday.

 

It's been dry up until 6.30pm now it's heavy rain and a gentle breeze from the north east temp 7c

 

It's been an unremarkable day here with sunshine & clouds for a good part of the morning but later it started to cloud over. Around 1pm however we had some blue skies & the sunshine steaming in through the windows! Unfortunately it didn't last more than an hour & the clouds came back & adios to the sunshine!

Around 8pm I went into the kitchen & heard it raining. It's now 9.45pm & it hasn't let up yet. We can't usually hear the rain while in the living room even though there is almost complete silence. The rain very rarely if ever reaches far enough into the balcony as to be able to hit the windows. With the kitchen it's just the opposite!

A cold wind from the SE got up this afternoon but seems to have dropped again. No more than about 10C all day.
