It's usually mild, and it keeps the cold frosty weather away, which is more horrible

Very similar here too Vicky, although we have had bouts of rain overall it has been very dry, our water levels here are on the low side. And as for temps!!! I'm loving the mildness, we've actually had our heating off many times this Winter!!

We've had the heating on (mornings and evenings) but have to with 60cm clay walls and tiled floors everywhere. No fitted carpets, just a small area rug in the lounge between the two sofas and one in each bedroom. This is the first year I have not had to change clothes over or worn a sweatshirt/heavy sweater. I wear tee shirts with a cardigan if needed. I have migrated to jeans jeggings and heavier leggings. No socks yet.

Yes have to say having no carpets make a difference to how you feel despite the temperature being good. We don't have any downstairs either just a scattering of rugs here and there...always wear slippers in Winter.:)

Strangely quiet, barely a whisper of a breeze. The stipa in the garden cowed, and sodden from the overnight rain. The birds absent, probably in roost, having a lie-in and watching morning tv.

Forecast guys reckon we’ll dodge the worst of Dudley and more, which is no real surprise as the weather gods probably looked down and said, nowt much left there we haven’t wreaked havoc with the past few months. Here’s hoping..
