Oh my goodness Woo ... that is shocking damage. I remember you putting up all those fence panels. And do you know whose jumping thing that is to remove it?

Morning everyone ... note I didn't say good!

It is very windy here and has been all night ... but not gales! It is slightly overcast, 10c going to 18c. It should be a sunny day with a little cloud but we are under a wind warning till 6pm.

It's much calmer now, a frost to start with now 6c.

Sorry @hailbopp and @wiseowl to see such destruction.

@Upsydaisy has hubby replaced the missing tiles ?

I have never been so glad that the Met Office got the forecast so wrong for our neck of the woods after seeing everyone's damage. We were so lucky. Frosty, 1°C but sunny and really rather pleasant. We have another Yellow warning for wind, from noon tomorrow until noon on Monday.

It calmed down yesterday evening but now the wind is picking up again :frown:
It's raining too but that's normal.

I feel for you guys living through the storm and it’s impact. Seems nowhere in the UK is insulated from the extremes of the weather these days, and it’s pot luck with the jetstream how bad we’ll get it.
I’ll await the snowflake falling in London for the Beeb to report the next climate emergency for us to fret about.

It’s the frequency of them I suppose. Can’t recall a run of Arwen through to Eunice of such severity in such a relatively short space of time. You forget though.

No John but he managed to block up the top one with some ( don't ask me the name, but it's rubbery stuff that is virtually indestructible) material type stuff and hopes to do the lower one later but we have rain now and the wind has picked up again ( but not nearly as bad as yesterday). We will then book our builder friend to replace the tiles later.....phew panic over.:)

Not quite getting their interpretation of ' light rain showers....the image displayed is what we are experiencing now.....and it ain't light!!!!:nonofinger:

Been out since 7:45 this morning and have done quite a bit clearing up and fixing.

The 3 greenhouse panels have been replaced , one being a temporary job. IMG_20220219_085004.jpg IMG_20220219_084941.jpg IMG_20220219_084935.jpg

All visible bits of glass outside the greenhouse have been collected and as I was cutting back broken plants and re- staking others I picked up the scattered glass in the borders.
                              IMG_20220218_164235.jpg IMG_20220218_164251.jpg

Tried to attempt a tidy up of broken remnants of the fences.

And finally cut back and staked 6 fairly big Wallflower and a few of this year's new smaller ones.
                              Wind is howling again now.
