    Hi,

About 5" of snow greeted us this morning and it's started snowing again; forecast heavy snow until tomorrow dinnertime so have had to cancel an hospital appointment; we get snowed in living here on a very steep exposed valley side.

    upload_2025-1-5_10-29-49.png

Now for a bit of exercise; I'll clear the patio and steps of snow before it gets too deep.

    Kind regards, Col.

We woke up to a covering of snow this morning , maybe about 3 inches? I didn't go out to measure it. It's turned to mizzly fine sleety stuff now, and forecast fairly heavy rain later continuing through the night, so the snow will soon be gone.

Woke this morning expecting to see 6 foot drifts of snow and husky mushers. Reality - the lightest dusting of snow which had been replaced by rain by 9am. Temperature currently around 9c.

Got a bit of a dusting here I were expecting a bit more the way they were going on . Forecast to rain later then back to snow through the night and Monday , is going to be touch and go if it does go back to rain . I've been out with a brush to free the euphorbia which had disappeared.

It is 20f -6c and cloudy. The guessers say it will remain like this all day and then dip colder. A good day to stay inside!

                  Hi,

I cleared the patio of snow this morning; the snow was heavy and wet at the base; at the moment it's melting but it's becoming darker outside; heavy snow still forecast all night into tomorrow morning and looking at the temperature we're also in for ice so being outdoors will be treacherous.

                  upload_2025-1-5_13-52-21.png

With the hospital appointment already cancelled for tomorrow I'll postpone shopping until early Tuesday morning; it's very steep here on the valley so I want to remain safe; I had a set of Michelin all season tyres fitted to our Skoda Yeti but they aren't a guarantee on this hilly terrain.

                  Kind regards, Col.

There's nothing worse than having your statistics messed with @simone_in_wiltshire . :) The weather is so unpredictable now it probably won't be the only time you have to change your records.

Sunny until about an hour ago and although cloud is building we don't expect any snow today. It's being saved for tomorrow. No thaw again here with the temperature at -1C/30F.

Similar to others, yesterday, we had sleet here after 6pm snow by 8 and settling. Reasonable covering this morning but the rain started, so the snow was pretty much gone by the time we ventured out to the shops. Very grey and dull all day getting dark already. The air is so saturated that there were drips off the ceiling of the covered car park at the shops, the whole place was soaking wet.

Raining now. If it keeps up as forecast the snow will all be gone by morning. It's pretty much slush already.

                              Hi,

As seen in my earlier post we had snow forecast all day today and all night tonight until dinnertime tomorrow. A bit of snow this morning but rain this afternoon. I like your definition of the weather forecasters @Sheal "Guessers" is spot on.

                              upload_2025-1-5_19-21-16.png

I'll look out of the window tomorrow for a more accurate assessment; now I've typed this it will probably snow during tonight?

                              Kind regards, Col.
