Whats Your Weather Like 2025

Well the snow cleared as fast as it came
By midday it was dry sunny but only about +4, now we are back to cloud, feeling colder.

 

A mixture of sunshine and cloud, all clear now.
Max was 5c.

 

It rose to 5c by midday here with intermittent showers of rain, sleet, snow and hail, plus wind. The sky has been grey, dark grey and even darker grey. I managed to get a 20 minute walk after lunch and clear some snow from around the car. After 5 winters in Scotland many years ago I know what you mean about being too cold to snow @hailbopp. Gritters bring back happy memories too .

 

It was fresh this morning but not really frosty. The buckets in the garden had no ice either.
While having a walk, I noticed that a bit further down the road the way was covered with ice and a thin layer of snow.
Sunshine all day. 5c and felt warmer in sunshine.
-3c coming night.

 

The dusting of snow melted away, but with temps of minus the next few nights, there will be ice and maybe frost that won’t thaw.
Colleague slipped on ice today - broken arm and a ticket to 6 weeks off work.

Warnings, severe weather, floods and difficulties around the county sound grim (not to mention over-run hospitals etc).

It's rained today and an hour ago big snow flakes came down but I think it's fine at the moment.


Picture taken as it was getting dark this afternoon; the white planter still has about 3" of snow on it; it's treacherous outside. Roll on springtime our Yorkshire winter's last forever.

But when is it to warm to snow?

The snow that we've had over the last couple of weeks hadn't thawed but started to today. The heavens opened late morning and snow showers since. There's not a great deal, but with village roads and footpaths like a skating rink already, it's adding to the problems of moving about. Top temp. 4C/39F.

It was bitterly cold in the wind today. Thank goodness it was sunny for most of the day. The next few nights are going to be very cold and the daytime not much above zero, with little sun.

However looking forward a week it looks alot better.

At least it's not raining.

We have a sunny day ahead but it's gonna be chilly. 4c tops, down to -1c. For the first time in our lives, we are buying an electric blanket. Hope it arrives today ...
Edited to add that there is still no sign of the sun...

 

It's a hard frost but the paths and roads are ok to walk on. I was a bit worried about walking with River in one close but it was fine.
Hard frost and light winds from the south west temp -3c feels like -3c.
