Whats Your Weather Like 2025

A lovely orange sky at 7.30am. Now lightly overcast, 11c, breezy and showers forecast late afternoon.

 

It’s -1c probably colder than that, OH spread grit/salt around the front which is a turning circle for our road when we got home yesterday Fromm Volunteering’ day at our local walled garden.It stays like a sheet of ice only our end of the road this time of year, it’s clear this morning.

 

-1c at the moment and plunging to -6 tonight. Max 1c today. So it's rather chilly.

I have a pack of dishwasher salt ready to use on the front drive if necessary. It's on a slope.

 

This didn't post so I've done it now - an hour or so later
Bit of a myth the thing about being too cold to snow. Himalayas? Antarctic? Norway? Aboyne?
It's about what the sky's doing. If it's minus 15 or 20 and clear then it's ice. The same temps with clouds - that's a different matter entirely....

A frosty/icy start again here. O'night low was minus 3, and slightly lower just now at approx. 9.25 am. Predicted high is around 1 or 1 degrees, but minimal winds, so it's fine as it's to be largely clear and sunny.
Yesterday was similar, although it got to 3 degrees briefly. Mainly sunny but with some cloud too, and a decent wee breeze, so I put some lightweight washing out and it dried quite well with the sun and breeze.

 

Good morning all ,frosty -1c real feel -5c,will struggle to 1c today but sunny ,keep warm have my thermal socks on they make a huge difference.

 

Another frosty start. Now 0C but it's clearly been colder overnight.

 

Cloudy and cold, frost not clearing yet ... really dreary and miserable weather, makes me feel depressed

 

Hard frost on surfaces this morning. Only max of +3 today and down to -3 tonight. Some high areas of the U.K. will have minus 20 apparently!

Electric blanket is bliss @Bluejayway - I have a heated throw for the sofa too.
Thermal socks are excellent @zenj - if you don’t have thermal ones then a pair of normal socks then a wooly pair are also good.

 

Really looking forward to it @AuntyRach , it's not going to arrive today but have hope for tomorrow! Socks!! I bought some knee-high velvet socks from M&S a couple of years ago and they have been a game-changer. They don't seem to have them at the moment but I did end up with 8 pairs .....

 

Never seen velvet socks @Bluejayway! I have ‘chalet socks’ which are wool with fleece lining - love them!

 

It says it's zero degrees, but it feels colder, dry, blue skies and a biting gentle breeze. Hopefully this cold snap will kill off a few pests and diseases in the garden.

 

On about keeping warm well this was outside yesterday . I wore a pair of cheapy wool gloves under my gardening gloves while weeding/cutting back loads of ferns in the ‘Stumpery’ section while volunteering yesterday. It worked a treat for me

It is 10f -11c and though it is dark, I am told by the guessers that it is cloudy and those clouds will give us a dusting of snow. Another good day to be inside

Has i used to work outside in all weathers when it got cold i used to wear a pair of tights under my trousers lots of other workers used to get cold and keaped asking me how i keep warm, i never told them no i'm not a cross dresser's but somethings are a must
