      Hi,

Our car is now often white when actually its proper colour is black; I've just defrosted it again; a bit less to do tomorrow morning at 6:30 when I head out to the supermarkets but it'll need doing again in the morning.

I've just pulled out a bag of building sand and gritted the sheet ice also I checked central heating boiler pressure; it was reading 0.7 now it's reading 1.5. Roll on June when the weather might improve for a short period.

      Kind regards, Col.

It’s cold. 1c and we could get snow that is moving along the south this evening.
We will have -4 c tomorrow morning. :frown:

It’s hovering at about 1c here this afternoon. Yesterday’s snow has frozen to the ice crystal type, unwise for throwing . The main improvements today are no snow, rain, hail or wind and the most important thing for me is that although the sky is grey, it’s light :yay:. That little bit of brightness makes all the difference.

I've just been to my greenhouse because I wanted to time the heater to come on in the middle of the night for a while, given that we were told it's going to be extremely cold tonight.
However the slow clearing morning frost had all gone, the air felt mild-ish and the ice in some plant saucers on the patio had started to melt. The ground felt soft, and there's a thick cloud cover. All of that makes me wonder if it will actually be as cold as predicted.
Anyway, I did time the heater to come on, just in case ... and I want to shut the greenhouse door and windows in a minute, before I make a cuppa

There is no heating in the GH and it will get below zero in there tonight. So I found the roll of fleece I keep in there. Unravelled it to find holes chewed in it. Holey fleece is better than no fleece.

Expecting -5c to -6c for the next three nights with no warming up in the daytime.

                    It stayed frosty all day.

The mice have been at my stash of frost blankets so looking really tatty and holey this year.

The temp must have been 3 or 4 today as the car frost melted today but it’s started to freeze again now - it’s going to be a chilly one tonight folks!
