A bit of a grey start but then warm and sunny. What a difference a day makes (see yesterday’s Cat and Fiddle webcam)

Incidentally, The Cat and Fiddle name dates back to Henry VIII’s divorce from Catherine of Aragon (Catarina la Fidele) and shows that the owners did not accept his divorce and his split from Rome.

The gloom hasn't shifted all day, the paths are still wet from the early drizzle.

It has been a lovely day, clear blue sky and there was some warmth with in the sunshine.
It can stay like that now

Proper funny day, warm and sunny, 11 degrees in January, luring us into a false sense of security, sure winter is far from over.

It was supposed to be a misty foggy day, but it wasn't. Had a sunny afternoon with a gentle breeze from the south west temp 7c feels like 7c

By 3.30pm it went cloudy and the mist is coming down, with light winds from the south west temp 6c feels like 6c

Had a nice bit of sunshine during the day, but by 4pm a thick fog had descended. I'm on a hill and most of my view has disappeared.

Sun all day but the clear skies meant a sharp drop in temp about 5pm. Supposed to be foggy overnight and 3 degrees.

Winter at the beginning of this week and summer today. The sun appeared late morning and warmed things up to 0.1 short of 15C/59F - unbelievable in the middle of January. I've been working in my shed in a vest top.

It's freezing fog at the moment - I can't see far down the road and the car has gone white. So quite a cold night and we have a weather warning.

Today was full sun and warm. Lovely.
I noticed the patio was wet all day and greasy looking. I reckon the wet is coming from below. Like rising damp - maybe due to the freezing weather we've had. I got outside and removed the mole hills.

I have been working all day yesterday. There was no sunshine here, but grey all day apart from the few minutes at 10 when the sun tried to break though but couldn't make it.

It's currently 2c, it will go up to 8c. Misty and cloudy.

A lovely sunrise just starting to appear. Another sunny day expected, 10c tops.
After falling asleep in the chair for two hours yesterday instead of tidying the garden, I hope to make amends today:fingers crossed:
