It may be Blue Monday, and the gloomy cold is a downer, but the lighter days are coming. It’s a hat and gloves morning here.

 

Just before I went to bed last night the sky was totally clear and full of stars, with a slight frost forming.
Still dark but it looks like the clouds are back.

Hi,

2C whilst out shopping earlier this morning and it was luxury with the car windows clear allowing me to drive away without defrosting.

Rain forecast later today so we'll be back to normal; the guessers are sure to get this right.

Rain forecast for today, 8c tops. Dull and dreary but we have a bunch of daffs to look at indoors and plenty of daffs about to open in the garden. So cheering to have signs of Spring ....

 

I like Mondays it used to be my day off only worked Tues to Friday.Outside it’s slightly warmer than yesterday 4c so must check on a few things in the garden. Daylight was around 8.07 .

 

We have rain (albeit light) and we had 18mm overnight (we measure between 8am and 8am). It is 16c which we will stay at (give or take a degree or two) all day. Rain is forecast for the next eight days in varying degrees. In a drought affected region, we are loving this.

 

Still 0c here and may go up to just 3c. The clouds do have some features - gaps here and there.

The garden shows no signs of life apart from about 5 snowdrops. It's all a bit dreary. But the birds are cheerful and there are some newcomers on the bird table - a siskin maybe.

 

The path is damp but there are breaks in the gloom, and even the odd glimpse of brightness. Still around 3-4 degrees but feels better.

 

Slightly less grey than yesterday!

After an over night frost we now have a bit of sun and quite a lot of cloud with a gentle breeze and 6 degrees, forecast is for a dry day.
