Another frosty start with a nice colourful sunrise, but the clouds have covered the sun over now, calm before the storm, not a breath of wind, rain forecast with the wind getting up from the west.

It started with promise as the Sun came up, but within 10min the clouds obscured it again. Now it's started raining. Feeling much colder than the thermometer claims. Not happy :frown:

It started slightly brighter this morning but the forecast is rain from 10am until early afternoon.

Forecast has changed slightly in that the main rain and high winds are overnight tonight. We’ll see…

Take care anyone having a visit from the storm.

Two squirrels in my garden very active yesterday. I had put some ‘past their best’ raspberries out, so that’s probably why. The clouds are darkening now… I expect all feathered and furry creatures will be taking a rain check until the stormy weather passes.

Currently raining, 9°C decidedly draughty outside.
Just had some thunder and lightening here, the women's cricket T20 in Australia has been interrupted by rain, thunder and lightening.

It's raining here, grey sky, 6C but feels like 2C and a light wind. Gusts of over 40 mph due by 2.00 am tomorrow, rising to 55 mph by 10.00 am, but sunny, so not all bad!

Torrential rain here this morning, with a river running down the road, hailstones, and thunder in the distance. Now midday and the sun is out! Looks like a different place.

We've had just about everything this morning. Windy first thing, then heavy rain, sunshine, than heavy rain again with hail, now dry and the sun trying to come out. We should miss the worst overnight. Winds forecast here are no worse than previous storms. Typically only gusting to high 40s. Forecast for friends in Scotland isn't so good, possibly up to 70 mph winds.
