Whats Your Weather Like April 2023

We had some heavy rain around 11pm last night but this morning we began the day of a sunny note with only a few clouds. During the morning it was mostly sunny but around midday clouds started to put in an appearance & at 12.30ish it began to rain again. Turned out to be a 10min shower ! The wind has been gusting all morning & is continuing even now at 1.30pm.

Temps are clearly down on yesterday's - probably because of the wind chill! We can expect another shower about 3pm just as the kids leave school & I have to go & pick up our granddaughter!

I've had to admit to defeat.....did manage some bulb planting but got soaked.

 

It has become quite overcast but bright and 22c.

 

The drizzle has begun, bring on the heavy rain.
It did get up to 14c earlier but the strong wind is a pain.

I noticed on the local forecast last night we had 166 hrs of sun March last year, up till now I think they said we have had something like 50hrs, with a week to go, its starting to look pretty grim.

 

Yes it could be said that it's on the soggy side down here in our corner Woo and pete.....not nice at all.

 

All afternoon it's been raining and still is with a gentle breeze from the south south west temp 9c feels like 7c

The rain didn't turn up when forecast fortunately! But we did get an hour or so of rain this evening. I had to go into the kitchen & I heard it raining. I looked outside & got the impression it was just starting or hadn't long begun. I went back to the kitchen about 6pm & I could still hear it hitting the windows! We can't here it most of the time in our living room as the balconies overhead stop most of the rain from getting in. That said however the rain always enters more inside the balcony when we get the rain & winds from the SW. The balcony faces more or less WSW.
