Still snowing here

It's stopped snowing, now it's raining so hope that it clears all of the snow.
A gentle breeze from the east north east temp 1c feels like -4c

 

Its up to 10c here now but it wont stop raining.

All the snow has gone on the paths.

 

It was "snowing" here most of the day yesterday & during much of the morning today as well. Yesterday it was more like sleet than snow & nowhere did it settle. But around 8pm last night it began to snow in earnest & it settled as well! When we went to bed it was still snowing but lighter. When we got up this morning it wasn't snowing but the snow I last saw about 10pm had reduced somewhat & not increased as I thought it would.

Later, about 8.30am it started to snow again, just as the kids were going to school! It was the proper stuff as well only inside an hour it turned into the same as we had yesterday, a kind of sleet. Then as the morning progressed it eventually turned into just rain & it hasn't stopped raining since then neither is it forecast to stop in 24h!

This is sooo rare for us here - in the driest county in the UK! It will be almost a historic moment (24h!)

Its been snowing all day bit of a damp squib really barely covered anything but for the highest hills , it start come down a bit more now but I doubt they be much by tomorrow

 

With a clear sky overnight it was -6C/21F at 1 am. Knowing the coldest part of the day here is around 6am I'm guessing the temperature dropped to around -8 to -10C/17 to 14F. A frost this morning and another sunny day with a slight breeze. 3C/37F
