Whats Your Weather Like April 2023

But I think it might have been lower overnight.

 

Max 14°C today, torrential rain and a strong westerly wind. Good for topping up the sadly-depleted water table!

 

currently 6°C slowly climbing through the day to 11°C by 2200hrs. Gentle breeze from the SSE. Currently gentle rain fading to drizzle by this afternoon then petering out.

 

Sunny but quite breezy, 13c going to 22c and breezy all day.

 

Small blue patches which have cleared the bit of frost from the roofs. Very calm and the barometer is on the rise again,

I'm hoping our forecast is wrong as it feels really Spring like out here this morning. It's currently suppose to be 5C ( feel like temp of 2C) but to me it feels much milder. Rain is also supposedly on it's way too, actually it's meant to be raining now but the sun is out and no sign of any rain clouds...yet .

 

No. Studded tyres are pretty much banned over here as they damage the roads. In Quebec you must have winter tyres but no other province has that law. That pic was after the first hour and we got about another 7 or 8 inches.

I put winter tyres on my vehicles because it is safer and also the insurance companies give you a small break if you use them from November 1 through to April 1st. Looks like this year I'll be keeping them on longer. They are calling for more dumps of snow until the end of the month.

Shoveled several times last night to keep up with the white stuff.

That said, it is 24f -5c and there are some blue breaks between the clouds. I've done another quick driveway shovel to enable the bit of sunshine we may get, to melt the thin layer of ice/snow left.

 

Our forecast is a bit wrong to say the least.
I was going to do the laundry today but didn't as we ARE having rain for most of the day.....hmmmm so far absolutely nothing.



My predicament now is should I do it for tomorrow...hmmmm should I believe our forecast or not????

Its been fairly sunny most of the day, just some high clouds blocking the sun occasionally and making it hazy.
Only reached 9c but better than what we have had the last week or so.

Only two weeks till we go onto BST.
