Back to winter here. Heavy rain overnight with a few flakes of snow added this morning. It's been dry, dismal and cold since about 10am, just 2C/36F. Fog is forecast for later, great! I'll be driving to the airport 23 miles away.

It turned actually nice at 1 when I was heading to the garden centre. Back at 3, working for another hour, had lunch at 4. I have just come from the garden but the blustery wind is not nice. I will try it a bit later again and tomorrow morning at 7.

It’s been a very blustery day here, but not cold. It had rained a lot during the night and earlier this morning but since then it has been dry apart from the odd brief rain spot in the wind - not enough to drench the washing which has actually dried very well.
The wind is blowing the magnolia blossom off the tree, though.

Despite my cynicism earlier, the sun did indeed come out and we got to 22.5C - short sleeved t-shirt weather! had to strip off coat and cardi while raiding the SMs - LIDL for wine and Leclerc for groceries then Picard for a leg of frozen NZ lamb for Sunday. The local lamb is smaller, 50% more expensive and doesn't taste as good.

Somewhat rainy in the central belt. Warmest day of the year tomorrow, shame about getting gale force winds :wallbanging: might go down the coast to see if I can get some nice pictures of big waves

Started at 5, potted on chillies, some others which were grown from seeds, filled the pot for the Tansy and St John with soil, filled the hole in the raised bed for the tomato plant with new soil from the compost, watered other plants in the greenhouse, planted Linaria, Snapdragons and Salvias, gave the Cerinthe plants bigger pots.
Finished at 7:11, it started raining at 7:12.
I can now relax. Everything is done. Beechgrove has started.

Yesterday was very sunny after a damp night. The temperature was 17C but felt much colder with a gale blowing off the fields.

At the moment it is 16C and fairly calm but gales forecast again later.

Calm before the storm here today, so dry-ish and cloudy. High yesterday was 7 degrees, and it's already 11 today as it's risen overnight. The rain has gone off though - 38mm from Thurs. evening until sometime through the night.
