I've had a constant tickle in my throat for a long time now. Possibly a month to 6 weeks.
Can't work out what is causing it.

      Hang on a minute…
      Today people have posted

      “no rain expected”
      “Looks like a gardening day”
“almost feels as warm as July”
      “high of 18”

      What is this?!?!

Is this the turning point folks?! I must say, I have really noticed it’s tipping over to the ‘no socks needed in bed’ season and I only have two layers on today. Wow.

Could be a pollen irritant, even if it has never bothered you before. I never had problems till one year in Bucks when I had to stop the car whilst driving. I was in my 40s then. Headed straight for the doctor up the road in Haddenham ... allergic to the Rape fields everywhere. Ever since I have Spring pollen issues.

Try an antihistamine. I use Actifed here. I think Claritin and Benadryl are popular there.

Yesterday was warm and sunny in Dordogne. Today is warm and the sky is hazy. Forecast says it will be 26C this afternoon! Sheets are on the line. However the middle section of the lawn from top to bottom is still very wet.

Really not heard of that, Quite a way to go yet then.

As to the weather, not as good as we were told to expect, very little sunshine just a few brighter spells at the most.
19c. and windy but not bad.

My daughter has that just now @Jenny namaste - about 4 weeks in. It's horrible.
I've had the same for a long time, but nothing like as bad as she has, so more like you @pete.
Not much you can do about it either.

Could it be allergy @pete. When my son was 5 or 6 years old (many moons ago) I took him to the GP as he had a runny nose and tickly throat that wouldn’t clear up. The GP diagnosed Hay Fever. “What??” Says I “in the middle of February??”. Yes said the GP it’s the pollen from crocus and daffodils. Anyway antihistamines did the trick. Might be worth a try

I've been taking cetirizine for a couple of years now, as I did used to have a cough followed by sneezing bouts, but this is a bit different, I think I've had it before and it just went away without me noticing.
