The wind is picking-up now and the sky is grey(er). I’ve had all my windows open today to blow some of the fresh, mild air about so just closed them now as we go into the evening.

it has stayed dry and hazy all day but no sun. Tomorrow we're off to a local plant fair which features a heritage tomato grower.

We'll go in the morning as the pm is set to be very wet again, a bit blowy and only 14C tops.

They seem to think Friday will be sunny.......

It's been 'batten down the hatches' all day today. From the SE too, which hits us full on. Thankfully, promised a calmer day tomorrow.

Humid all day and foggy for a while this morning. That cleared to leave cloud cover and a little sunshine now and again. Cloud cover this afternoon and the wind has been picking up for the last two hours preparing for an overnight blast. 12C/54F

Its raining again here now, it just keeps coming, the surface of the soil was showing signs of drying earlier this afternoon, but back to square one now.

Warm and dry here today, with plenty of sun, but very windy. It has dried everything out beautifully.

Shame it's going to rain again tomorrow

Suffering from storm Kathleen here today. Biblical amounts of rain (again) together with really strong winds. Even had some 10 minutes of hail! Where have all the gentle April showers together with sunny spells gone?

I was so jealous when Obelix-Vendée said, t-shirt weather. The last time I had my short trousers and just a t-shirt on was in the first week of September last year and before that, it wasn't really t-shirt weather last summer.
The storm will affect us in Wiltshire but not as bad as you guys in the NW. We will have just 47 mph, but still no fun driving in gusty conditions.
Unfortunately, this rather "warm" weekend is no turning point @AuntyRach. No, doubt, the weather will find its way back to the usual pattern in a few days. We expect colder temperatures the week after the 14th.
Screenshot taken from wetteronline.de, a website I always use to find out what rain I can expect. Their radar is always accurate and gives me more certainty when I can hang out the washing :)

So far a bright sunny day, and it's pretty tranquil after the gusts overnight. It wont last, gusts between 38 and 42 mph are expected till 7 tonight. 15% chance of rain at one o/c. It's a good drying day, so long as I can keep the 3 washing loads on the line!

Wind is very drying though, the first inch of soil is quite dry so I think I'll give the newly sown seeds a watering.
