Dull and damp this morning after a wet evening yesterday. Total rainfall here for March 55mm, roughly 25% above the long-term averages so not too bad. Fingers crossed for more of the same through the spring and summer while everything is trying to grow.

It is up to 36f 2c and there is some sun. A good time to get out there and sort out some wiring and before the guesser's foretold rain starts. :fingers crossed:

Very windy night which kept me awake till 4am. Sensitive to wind as we had our barn roofs lifted by a tornado in 2020. No thunderstorm but we're getting one this evening it seems.

Sunny spells now and 13c if you can find a spot out of the wind so it feels a lot colder out there.

It has been sunny with puffy white clouds all day but even though it is 17c it feels cold with a sharp gusty breeze.

It’s fairly miserable here, cold, grey and damp although the rain has stopped.
Hope your washing dries @Dovefromabove :fingers crossed: . It’s too wet in the air for any to dry outside here today.

It's been light, steady rain all day here and it's a cold 5C. I've put OH's wet, muddy gear which has been washed on airers by the fire.
Every day seems to be different!

Annoying sums it up. Lovely warm sunshine, SWesterly breeze, 19C, then as soon as you set foot outside, heavy showers of rain or hail. I can run but my poor old chicken with a dislocated hip can't! Anyone got a pattern for a chicken mackintosh?

After the proper spring day yesterday, today was pretty much the norm, with damp and cloud, but an easterly wind. Very mild overnight - low of 5 degrees, and the high this afternoon was 8 degrees.
Our March rainfall was 139 mm, almost identical to last year @JennyJB . Just shows the differences around the country.

Well I’ve only been to work and back today and it was cloudy with a short burst needed with windscreen wipers tonight.

Did the Welsh weather prompt your move to the Algarve then @Victoria? Hehe.

Chucking it down most of the day - so hard I didn't even venture the 70metres to the polytunnel to sow seeds. They can wait till tomorrow.

It has stopped just long enough for me to go and give the chooks their afternoon treat of tinned sweetcorn, collect their eggs and check my seed trays haven't been disturbed. Now it's time to cook dinner as OH needs to leave at 8pm to go and fetch Possum from Nantes airport - just when the next thunderstorm and downpours are due...........
