What's your weather like APRIL 2024

Currently mild and sunny, no rain forecast for the next couple of days.

 

Summer has hit the south!

 

Same here in West Cumbria, if it's not raining then it's murky damp days.
At 10.40am this morning the current temperature is 12.9c in our glass hours, vents not opened yet.

Apparently, January was the only month where sunshine hours were above average. February seen 8.3 fewer hours, March 27.3 less and April so far has seen 113 less hours of sunshine.

My bedding plants would of normally been outside to harden off ready for selling, but they are to small yet to put out, yet I am getting customers asking if my hanging baskets are ready.

I went to Lincoln over Easter to spend time with my daughter, there is so much agricultural ground in standing water, it's unreal. Which is more than likely going to mean an increase in food prices in the coming months.

 

A lot of cloud with sunny intervals and a gentle breeze from the south west temp 15c feels like 15c.

 

A lovely breeze and 22c.

 

It's too 'ot........................................16 degrees two days running anyone would think it was August.

Sunny and hot for me

 

Warmest day of the year so far here, I've got 21.5c and hazy sunshine.

 

We have sunshine, at last. it was 16.5C when I came home form physio at 11am and is hotter now so OH and I are both in shorts - not for public consumption but for gardening. he's weeding behind the house and I have been sanding down the teak table on the terrace ready for a bit of TLC and teak oil.

Hoping to sit and have lunch outside tomorrow.

 

Pescara or Teramo would be nearer us, those big mountains sit/sat between Rome and Abruzzo. Understanding the weather forecast was a bit more of an issue back then, now it's easier to translate the page. Il Meteo here were my goto. They have already had a 31c this week according the Accuweather.

 

despite what it says, it feels better than 11c and you know what, it's rather a nice temperature when working (?) in the garden.

Planted out sweet peas and didn't have to put a jumper on! Clouded over this afternoon with a slight breeze. How lovely to feel warm again outside.
