I haven't heard that term used here @Sheal, but we don't get the same amount of snow now that we used to get, so April snow is becoming very rare. Far too mild through autumns/winters over the last few years, so more rain than snow/ice/frost. I'd rather have the latter any day.
Cloudy here, and an o'night low of 2 degrees. Rain and wind for later, and a predicted high of 9.

Yesterday was a lovely mix of sun/cloud, and got to 12/13 degrees, with a good breeze.

Hazy sun, 15c going to 23/24c, looks like we may be a bit tamer with the heat for the coming days/week ... but we will see!

            Good morning all.
Another glorious sunny start to the day but only 4c degs at the moment.
Should get to 11c but that moderate wind makes it feel chilly.
            Some showers due from 4pm.
            Enjoy your day

Low of 2c overnight so all my tomatoes came inside the house. I still have bubble wrap and a heater going in one greenhouse to protect the tender perennials.

8c now, bright sun, calm and dry for the day. A bit of a nip in the air.

Cool and still with hazy sunshine this morning, but there's a confident-looking forecast of rain for this afternoon and evening, which (if it turns up) means the garden will be nice and workable for the weekend. Weekend forecast depends which one I look at, some say sunny intervals, some say overcast, some have a spot of rain at times. Temps a little on the low side for the time of year though.

An absolutely glorious morning. Wall to wall blue sky, hardly any wind, dry but a little chilly at the moment.
                    AT last!

The sun is out to take the chill off. It might cloud over this afternoon, but no rain is forecast so the washing can go out.

Just looking at sunrise/sunset times - next week the sunrise will break before 6am and sunrise will be approaching 8:30pm, so plenty of light for all our seedlings and plants.

Ski trousers and beanie hat on in preparation of attempting to go and do something in the garden, if it dains to stop raining or as yesterday chuck down hail stones. If you are old enough to remember Michael Flanders and Donald Swan, ……”April brings the sweet spring showers,…. on and on for hours and hours”!
