Sunshine in Somerset but on the chilly side for my liking. Hope to garden later.

Can't believe the difference. Hardly any wind and it feels warm outside so did some planting out.

It got quite overcast and fresh feeling earlier ... nice for pottering and re-sowing my red pepper seeds because (I assume) snails ate my seedlings ... :wallbanging: Nice and sunny now with hint of a breeze and 19,5c.

I don't like it when I see the red on the line - heavier rain

Hazy sun with a light breeze and 23,5c which is much more pleasant than of late.

Still very sunny. If this continues for the rest of the afternoon it will break the daily record for the month - so far.

Just came in for dinner, put a very light cardi on over sleeveless top. 21,5c. Our house has 60cn/2 foot thick clay walls ... on the outside and inside.

It wasn’t really 8 hours sunshine, maybe 3 what we had. Looks like the rain is avoiding us after all the complaints. But so is Wiltshire, either too much or no rain at all. The top of the soil in the garden is dried out and hard like concrete. It’s the dry wind and dry air.

Bright and sunny, and a pleasant change from yesterday's smirr and light rain all day.
O'night low of 7 degrees [which it is just now @7 am] and a predicted high of around 11, with the odd shower, and no great winds, so should be good for outdoors jobs.

Our regular STV weatherman was reporting from our local park yesterday for the early eve. news. It was interesting to hear him say that many parts of the east side of Scotland have had about 3/4, to almost all of, their April rainfall in the first 18 days, at around 125mm. Still less than this side [we've had over 160mm] but the east is the 'dry' side, so it's a big change again for them, and quite worrying. The mild weather is to blame - not usually this warm through April, anywhere up here.

It's been dryer up to now this month less than 25 mm to date and most of that fell in the first week.
