What's your weather like APRIL 2024

14c sunny with little breeze but the smell of sour cow poo isn't very nice, i don't know what farmer feeds his cow but it doesn't smell anything like our neighbours cow poo

 

It has been a dull morning with a fresh breeze here but the sun has popped out now with a fresh breeze and 19,5c. We are back to April weather.

 

The forecast is dry for today (cool though) so I might get the forsythia pruned now that the flowers have gone. OH is out so I can get at the shredder which is kept in the back of the garage.
The rain that was forecast for the middle of the day yesterday never materialised so I could have done outside stuff but I did errands instead (including some garden bits & bobs from Poundland). Never mind, we had good steady rain on Thursday for several hours, 8.5 mm in the gauge so the soil should be nice and moist at least for a few days.

They have this spot on, it was glorious first thing, if a little on the cold side. Now cloudy, but dry, so off out in the garden...

We got to 23.3c today and it is 22,2c now but have had a sharp gusty wind making it uncomfortable.

 

The old 4pm clear up again today, it was mostly cloudy until then, but now clear and set up for a cold night I'm thinking.
Hoping at least the nasty wind keeps blowing to keep the frost away.

Good morning to all. Lovely sunshine all day yesterday.
Today, we can expect 12C. Starting with cloud cover, then blue sky with little clouds.
Air is very dry. Humidity is 60% but will go down to 45%. This is not good neither for the soil, nor me, as I prefer more humid weather. It's a kind of dryness where I wouldn't hang the washing out because I ended up with stiff towels that got try inside an hour.

 

Cloudy and damp here today, so a complete turn around from the forecast that was in place yesterday. O'night low of 7 degrees, and heavy rain to come in later- just very light stuff just now. A predicted high of around 10 or 11, but just a light wind.

Yesterday was glorious - got to 15 for a while, sunny all day from around 9am. I'd be happy if it was never any hotter than that, although in the sun it's obviously more than that as temp gauges aren't placed in full sun. That would always give very false readings.

 

7c bright but cloudy-ish

 

Looks like it's a bit too cold overnight to move my tomatoes to the greenhouse this week as I'd planned.
