What's your weather like APRIL 2024

Rain expected later today too in north Kent, although the map above shows it's very close already. Just as well I cut the grass yesterday.

 

Solid grey clouds, no wind 6c.
Supposed to be like this all day I think.

 

Actually went to 27 yesterday. Currently sunny and breezy, 15c going to 25c.

 

Light frost and o'night low of 2 degrees. 5 at time of writing this [8.15 am] and sunny and clear.
Predicted high of around 12 or 13 degrees.

Lovely day yesterday, with a high of 15/16 degrees, and a nice breeze. Great for getting on with some outdoor jobs before we go back to the usual stuff from Thursday or so.

 

Morning all. We had constant rain all day yesterday. Although it eventually stopped at 11pm the patio outside is still damp.
Today’s forecast is drier but cooler and windier.

Good morning all,cloudy dull drizzle expected ,a high of 11c setting off for drive to Yorkshire.

 

Light rain at the moment, which wasn't in the forecast. No problem, I'm happy for it to rain on days when I'm working
I'd like dry on Thursday though because I have to drive down to Wiltshire for a staff meeting Last time I went there was so much rain down there it took me a full day to get home again avoiding all the floods.

 

I can confirm that the weather here in the east of Scotland has been complete pants! We are normally a really dry part of Britain not just Scotland but oh boy not this year. I have been visiting the west side( Ayr) regularly since about February and farmers your side have fared better than around these parts. Here, they cannot get on the fields to plough or seed. As for root veg still in the ground, much of it has rotted, heyho.
Not sure I agree with it being mild tho, a hideous east wind has meant the thermal knickers have been well used. Certainly my purple dwarf tomatoes are not impressed and have hardly grown since germination.
Today is a huge improvement, blue skies and warm, yes warm BUT, that annoying word, we are in for a quite severe frost which will ruin my many Rhododendron that are currently flowering their heads off!
