What's your Weather Like August 2023/Closed

Ditto. Lots of fires in the Alentejo region.

 

It will be HOT today ... just turned 26c and no breeze.

 

Not that we had high winds or that much rain yesterday here but agree it's beautifully sunny and calm this morning.

 

At 11am it is 31c. The watering is done!

 

Cloudier now but only a slight breeze from the NW and it's 20C on the patio,

The promised weather improvement seems to be a one day wonder now.
We wait with baited breath for Thursday.

 

Nice and sunny, the washing is drying nicely.

 

Just hit 37c, which matches the 13th of July, our highest this year ... so far!

We are in with the a/c on ... and have the Furries in too! It is not good for cats to be out in temps of 35c or more ... nor humans.

 

38c ... so have passed the 100F mark!!!

Several large fires, one back in Sao Marcus da Serra just up the road from us, and an even bigger one in Odemira, Alentejo with 11 aircraft.

 

It started raining here a short while ago but it didn't last 5 minutes! I was out on the balcony watering the hanging baskets. I hadn't watered them in several days as with the rain we had I didn't think they needed it. As they are under the dripline & normally get soaked after some rain. So I was very surprised to find them very dry!

It's a little warmer today than yesterday as well as windier. Max temp today was about 18C.

Seems like Thursday will be a very warm day with temps up into the high 20s! Perhaps the warmest day this month!

 

Sunny and calm until this evening as it's now clouded over. 20C/68F

 

It seems we are in for another cool night with only 12C forecast as our min! But at least tomorrow we are forecast 20C with lots of sunshine to start the day but just sunny intervals during the afternoon/evening.
