We had a grey and miserable morning, then sun came out, but it's cloudy again, mostly dry and we seem to have missed the winds of the storm.

Swap you some heat for some cool? At 20C overnight, even opening the doors and windows at 6am isn't really cooling the house much. As for the terrace....:roflol: You could cook a decent full English on it. The pool thermometer says 24C but it feels like a bath. OK, there's no screaming and gasping when going in, but fresh would be nice  Still, we'll look back on these days in January when it's -5C and yearn for their return....

I couldn't sleep last night and it was over 21c at after midnight during the rain, and it cooled to 18c by morning, it didn't feel warm as it was windy and has been all day along with the feel dropping all day.
Its 19c now and doesn't feel very warm.

Being a non swimmer I had to look up swimming pool temperatures I remember trying to stop my teeth chattering as a kid in the local chlorine ridden ****hole and it was dire.:frown:

Anyway found this, personally I'd probably want it warmer than the 82f stated bearing in mind I tend to run at 98f:biggrin: so anything lower is going to feel cold.

Another day of clouds and sunny periods. Fairly windy and warm. I don't know what happened to the rain we were forecast as I didn't hear any in the wee small hours of the morning. I had to get up at 1.45am then for several hours couldn't get back to sleep again.

Nevertheless we must have had some later as when I left home to go downtown to do some shopping there was a puddle on the manhole cover outside our kitchen window.

It's been a warm, muggy day today, even now, at 9pm the temps are still quite high at 19C! We had a max of about 24C. Tomorrow we are forecast a similar day to today.

I remember that too  With the sadistic swimming teachers that just chucked you in and told you to swim or sink, it was enough to put you off for life! You've lost me with the fahrenheit....anyway that's an american site :gaah: It all depends on ambient temperature. When it's 36C outside, 23C water temperature is lovely. In September when it's 23C outside, 24/25C is preferable in the pool. 100m of black plastic pipe coiled out of sight but in the sun is pretty effective as a water heater :ideaIPB: A rigid, telescopic cover takes care of the overnight drop in temps and stops wildlife committing suicide

Yeah I can see it does depend on the ambient temperature as to what feels comfortable for short periods, similarly, if the day hasn't been hot the overnight temperatures, even if they dont drop far, can feel cool, as the house hasn't heated up during the day.
Interested to see how you use the plastic pipe to heat the pool?

This last week has been mostly dry and sunny. Today has been sunny and humid with a strong to gale force wind blowing. 24C/75F

                              Morning all

Day is getting off to a good start with sunshine but the cloud will soon roll in & then it will be another day of clouds and sunny intervals! A possible shower is forecast for mid evening but other than that we expect a dry day with only light winds.

It is already 16C with bright sunshine, a clear blue sky and not the slightest breeze. I am expecting a hot and humid day.
