Good morning everyone

A very cloudy start to the day here. It feels quite warm as well, though we only have 15C at 6.30am.

Yesterday was quite a nice day. We went downtown to see what was still available in Wilcos. We thought of getting some paint but with only 10% reduction it didn't seem worthwhile.

The couple of hours we were in town the sun was quite warm, though we did feel the odd drop of rain, with lots of clouds & sunny spells. The day was quite pleasant overall! Marred a little by the wind though.

Today the sun is taking a break and it will be cloudy all day with possible showers during the afternoon. Temps are only expected to reach 20C.

There was a big fire in Monchique yesterday. As it is forested lots of air assist is used as access is difficult. There were 14 and the one was dispatched to Olhas da Agua on the coast and we are between. Both fires controlled. Just after 8ish we heard lots of them going 'home' (Faro and Portimao/Alvor airports specifically here in Central Algarve) as they are not permitted to fly after dark. Actually, our major airports are closed 11pm to 6am.
