What's your weather like August 2024

Wow!
I took the dog for a walk around 10.00am.Had to wear an anorak to keep dry, couldn't see across the cricket field for mizzling low cloud.
Come lunch time, the cloud cleared. It is wall to wall blue sky, blowing a hooley. 3Oo and hot, hot hot!
All windows and roof lights open so quite a breeze blowing through the house, quite pleasant indoors. Too hot for me outside.

 

It clouded over around midday but has totally cleared now.
Around 30c is probably it for today.

 

It was by no means warm this morning, so that I took a hoodie. Now, it's really warm outside. I avoid to say hot. My friend in Spain has got currently 41c.
We have just 27c currently, blue sky with a few clouds. It will be a little bit warmer tomorrow.

 

Sunny with patchy cloud and a gentle breeze from the south east temp 25c feels like 29c
too hot for me and the boys.

 

Mostly cloudless now, our high was 33,4c, now 32,4c and just a hint of a hot breeze so a bit stifling.

 

Been a lovely day in Perth today, very different away from the cool breeze that we get off the North Sea/Baltic, now a pleasant 17 degrees, little wind, but all change tomorrow it seems.

 

Just came in for dinner, (stuffed red pepper) sat out for 90 minutes in the mist (my back and hair is damp), 28,8c now but humid at 63% ...


This is the view I watch the panes coming in.

 

A very windy morning with early fog and remained cloudy until the afternoon and only reached 20c at Portland Bill. Back home an hour later and it was 25c.

 

29 today, but nothing like previous hot spells, as not only did we have a persistent strong breeze, but the air was cool. I still think this is a heat plume exception to the early autumnal feel of the last week.

I’ve opened the patio door to let the cool morning air in - but it’s 20 outside so not much cooling to be had! Set for the hottest day of the year somewhere in GB today, but not here as forecast about 25.
