What's your weather like August 2024

I wonder that you are awake so early. I spent some minutes in the garden after 9 o'clock yesterday evening because it was still very warm with 26 °C inside, hardly a breeze. I found sleep after 10 and woke up at 6 this morning. HOLIDAY.
And like you, 20 °C currently, which is not warm enough for cycling now. I will do it later, but before the 29°C will hit us.

Lovely start to the week , sat with a cuppa front windows open just heard on my Bird app Great tit, chaffinch, blue tit , robin, jackdaw and a Robin gosh they are all up early !. It’s going to be outside pottering with my sun hat on and a think a lot of suncream ! It’s 19c already.

 

20c had a bit of rain + a bit of thunder in the night we now have a funny light this morning

 

Wet, windy start with a thunderstorm thrown in for good measure. Sore head now. O'night low was 14 degrees [15 just now at approx. 7.50 am] with a predicted high of 20 in the late afternoon/early eve. once it clears up around lunchtime.

Yesterday was lovely, with a mix of light cloud and sun, and a high of 22, but mostly a bit lower, which suited me, especially when I was sitting with a bit of shade. A nice light breeze too. A good day for all sorts of jobs.

After we had a bit of light rain, now it's sunny with a bit of cloud and a gentle breeze from the east temp 19c feels like 19c.

It blew a gale all night.Very close.
Overcast this morning, still "muggy".No thunder or lightening as promised.
Suspect when the tide changes the heat will come in like yesterday.

Had a sprinkling of rain overnight. Not sure if we're due thunder and lightning or not as the BBC's weather forecast was not clear last night.

Yesterday we spent a few hours in the car so it was a lovely 20c with the AC on.

At the moment it's 20c and cloudy, but 24c indoors. Going up to 29c.

 

It rained in the night so it feels nice and fresh now. It's a misty morning but warm, and I'm sitting here with my cuppa and the patio doors wide open, it's lovely. I don't want it any warmer, and I can do without blazing sunshine getting in my eyes, so if it doesn't turn out to be the hottest day of the year I won't mind.

 

Went out for cycling at 9, was ways too warm to be comfortable. Now, 5 to 10, it’s already 26c. It’s a little bit cloudy which will hopefully take off the heat later on.

All change in the weather - thunder and rain. Can't see any lightning. The golf course club house has sounded its alarm to its golfers. Not sure what they are meant to do - hide under a tree or wave their clubs around!

Seagulls are above - lots of flying ants.

BBC weather still says sunny.

 

Thunder storm at the moment, quite heavy rain and a brisk wind 15 degrees and so dark I have my desk light on.

 

We had a tiny sprinkling of rain at about 7:30 this morning but not enough to wet the ground. It's currently cloudy, temp. 25C. Some of the forecasts are suggesting a possibility of rain around midday, but if it happens I don't think it'll be much. Keeping an eye out though because there's washing on the line. They are still giving 29 or 30 C for this afternoon.
