What's your weather like August 2024

Cooling off a treat here thanks to a breeze. It only hit about 26 here anyway. Think that was it for the hot spell. I wonder if we’ll have another warm spell before Summer packs up for its vacation south??

 

We are down to 27c with a nice strongish breeze.

 

It reached 32 but next to no breeze compared to yesterday's strong breeze. Very muggy. Tonight is forecast at 14C, so that's a good deal.

Good morning. Checking on the rain forecast, it doesn't look good for us, no rain at all.
Currently 12c, and will go up to 23c today with sunshine all the time. I take the rain forecast for tonight with a pinch of salt. I will believe when I see it.

If it were up to the Met Office's radar, we had rain yesterday at 5:30 AM, at 10:30 AM (I actually heard a grumbling in the west while sitting in the garden), again at 11:40 AM, and we had even heavy rain with 32mm at 12:35 PM.
None of this is true because the clouds went between Cirencester and us where the Cotswold Water Park is.
That is the hole I'm talking about: the Downs. The rain goes to the left and right during the summer.

Damp, cloudy start here. O'night low was 11 degrees [14 just now at approx. 7.35 am] and a predicted high of about 17/18 degrees with strong gusty winds most of the day, and a mix of cloud, rain, and even some sun thrown in too.

Yesterday was wet most of the morning, easing a good bit after the thunderstorm, and becoming drier by midday, and sunny, mixed with some light cloud, in the afternoon. Light breeze and ahigh of 20.

 

Cool but pleasant this morning.
Rain forecast for later this afternoon- not sure if will be drizzle or the water-butt-filling kind.

 

Although the sun was up earlier, it is now overcast and 19c with a light breeze going to low 30s.

 

It’s 15c and rising later . Lovely blue sky with lots of little fluffy clouds up above . Our daughter lives in Perth, Australia and I always look at her weather it’s 15.33 in the afternoon and the same temp and it’s her Birthday !.Wish we were sat in her garden picking 2 figs for our breakfast . Have a good gardening day everyone .
