A clear, bright start with a proper autumnal feel. This is happening much later in the month than it used to do. You could always feel that real change in the air in early August until a few years ago.
The o'night low was 9 degrees [10 just now at approx. 7.20 am] with a predicted high of about 18, and dry/sunny all day. Wind/rain returning later tonight though.

Yesterday was wet until mid afternoon, with only a few short drier spells, then we had some nice sun later on, then cloudy again in the eve. Breezy but very pleasant for a while. The high was 19 in that warmer spell.

We had rain all night and it's still raining now. Seems a bit nippy at 15c. OK to wear T shirt indoors, but maybe need a light jumper on for going up the road.

Anyway, I won't need to water the garden today.

It is sunny with a light breeze and 20c at 9 o'clock. Going to high 20s/low 30s. However, we go on a high Temp Warning tomorrow and Friday ... and I thought it was ending!

Yes drizzly here this morning. I peeped into the garden yesterday on my way home - it’s looking lovely @Valleysgirl. I heard there was a talk on Hydrangeas this week? Gutted I couldn’t go as I had a meeting.

Wall to wall sunshine, so we will again set off for the hills with a picnic hoping to dine alfresco this time. Looking for Adders and Eagles and to see the Heather which is now coming into bloom.

We had 11mm rain overnight. It's still drizzling with more heavy stuff later. The slugs are out in force, big brown ones as well as loads of snails, now picked up and chucked across the verge with instructions not to come back.

6mm rain overnight . If only we could have that every night.
Today is cooler than of late, 19C but will increase a few degrees in the afternoon, fairly still with filtered hazy sunshine through a veil of light cloud. It would be perfect gardening weather, but I'm inside working until teatime. Maybe I'll get the grass cut this evening.

At two o'clock we have reached 31c. We didn't get to 30c till 1.30pm ... compared to a week or two ago when we were there by 11am. This is wonderful.
