What's your weather like August 2024

Whooppeee!! It's rained overnight. Maybe only a little, but it's something!!

 

Sunny day promised, up to 24C. A nice late summer's day in prospect.

I'd send you some of our rain @shiney , but I don't think my hosepipe would reach from the waterbut....
A strong contrast - from about 11pm Wed. night, until 2pm yesterday, we had 35mm of rain.
Today has started dry and cloudy, with an o'night low of 11 degrees [12 just now at approx. 7.40 am] with a predicted high of about 16 or 17 as it's to brighten up and be sunnier, although those strong gusty winds are to appear through the day again.

Yesterday was wet until 2pm, and then it brightened up, with just another small shower later on. Windy. The high was 16/17 degrees, but dropped to 13 in the middle of the day due to some heavy rain/wind, before picking up again in the aftn.

 

Woke to glorious sunshine here in Newark -on-Trent . A walk in Sherwood Forest later maybe. Wonder what it’s like back in Wales , I heard it was rain a lot of the day yesterday.

 

Clouds are breaking and the sun is out now.
We had 3.5mm of rain overnight.

Extremely High Heat Warning now extended till 10pm on Sunday. We are starting the day with 24c. No rain in sight for us.

 

Good morning all, sunny start with a high of 19c ,a trip to the coast Druridge bay Northumberland today.

 

We are at 30.3c before 11am.

 

We had a bit of rain yesterday but nothing special @Valleysgirl. The sun icon is on the forecast but its patchy cloud currently - pleasant at about 20 and set to be dry all weekend.

My apples are still small with more dropping than usual too @shiney.

A helicopter with bucket under just flew over us heading to the sea to get more water so something is going on nearby. We are 32c now and thankfully not a breeze.

 

We got about three spits of rain yesterday teatime . Nothing like the forecast. Today is brighter and warmer, and forecast to stay that way for the next week at least. No rain in the forecast until the bank holiday weekend, and even then it's not looking very likely. I'm off to Wales for the bank holiday so it'll probably rain good and proper there while staying mostly dry at home.
