What's your weather like August 2024

16c drizzle with a breeze and some cloud

 

We've had hot humid days of rain and this morning we flipped to 58f 13c and the skies are now starting to clear.

Perfect for some of the work I have waiting for me out there.

 

It’s warm (ish) but very windy with a heavy burst of rain forecast for this evening.

I hope the clouds depart so I can catch the Full Moon - super moon, blue moon, sturgeon moon, which will look a bit red.


Why is a 'once-in-a-decade' Supermoon Blue Moon happening twice in 2 years?

 

Blowing a right gale here - the front hanging basket is whizzing round and round. I hope it doesn't grind itself to bits.

Rain starts properly at 9pm. Don't think we'll be seeing the moon tonight (but did see it last night).

Wow, it is 28c with a fresh breeze, wonderful, just came in for dinner.

I woke up and heard it raining. Now, it has stopped again.
15c currently, we can expect 20C over the day with a mix of sunshine and clouds.

I just checked the amount of rain that we got: 0.5 cm.

Wet start, with an o'night low of 11 degrees [11 just now at approx. 7.45am] and a predicted high of 14. The wind has dropped for now, but it's to pick up again later. We're to have showers today instead of more persistent rain apparently. Not something we get a lot of here because they tend to join together for about 45 mins at a time.....

Yesterday was damp and cloudy all morning, and the rain came in properly in the afternoon, with those strong gusty winds. The high was 17 briefly. I got a few things done outside after my walk, and just timed it nicely.

I've just checked my gauge @simone_in_wiltshire - 25mm since 2pm yesterday. We're already at over 125mm for August.
