What's your weather like August 2024

Well the sun did come out, spent a few hours volunteering at our local walled garden in the grounds of our local new hospital. It’s looking good the garden we managed 2 T breaks and a lot of chatter oh I did do some weeding and watered our barrow with produce for sale , herbs , plants etc . You would have liked a wander around today as you were on shift Aunty Rachel .

Had an unexpected downpour this morning - I had just put some delicate plants out and whoosh it came down.

It was OK today if you were in the sun, but otherwise there was a chilly wind.

Going down to 9c tonight. Last night I put the electric blanket on!

Weather not up to much for the next week either.

Crossing my fingers that the temps ease soon for you @Victoria [makes it hard to type!] and you can enjoy being outside.
A damp, but bright start here. O'night low was 10 degrees [11 just now at approx.7.15am] with a predicted high of 14. Lots of black clouds appearing to the NW while it's sunnny to the south - a fox's wedding. It's to be showery this morning, and then the heavy stuff's to come in later with some serious winds, and to continue until tomorrow.

Yesterday wasn't too bad in the morning, with a mix of cloud and lt. rain, and it even cleared up for a while in the afternoon, with some sunny spells for an hour or two before the heavy showers cam back. Windy again, and increasing through the aftn. and eve. with a high of 15 degrees.

 

We are scheduled to have our fascias painted tomorrow and Friday and, wouldn't you know it, RAIN is forecast for both days. Almost forgotten what rain is ....

Edited to add that today's (Thursday) painting has been cancelled, tomorrow is still looking OK

We were planning on "doing" our fascias and have a new ladder, but now the weather is not good enough for hubby. But it looks good early September- I just have to stand at the bottom holding the ladder. Impressed that you found a decorator that will get up a ladder!

 

Light rain forecast on and off, 14 degrees with light winds, it started quite sunny, but 'tis gorn now.

 

@cactus_girl We're in a bungalow but we were lucky really, he will be bringing somebody to hold the ladder as two sides of the bungalow are on a slope
