What's your weather like August 2024

Good morning all ,sunny and cloud first off ,but deteriorating to solid cloud wind and a high of 16c .Doesn’t feel like August at all.

 

Missing in action for several days! It's been cool-ish and windy but hardly any rain despite the reasonably promising foreacasts (typical). We did get what sounded like quite heavy rain late last night but only 2.5mm in the gauge when I checked this morning.
Over two thirds of the way through August and the month's total rainfall so far is a measly 13mm. At least it's not stinking hot.

 

No idea what the weather was like yesterday as was working but it’s quite bland today - good gardening weather really as mild and mostly cloudy with peeps of sun.

Just seen forecast is for a random few hours of high winds Friday early morning?! BH weekend looks a bit drizzly, then dry, warm and sunny for a week?!… we’ll see…

 

It is 28.4c now and was quite pleasant sitting in filtered shade for an hour listening to them chatting picking the oranges in the orchard. Our low last night was 19.1c this morning at 7am.

 

Only 17c here, cloudy and windy. Have put on some thermals to venture outside and trim some ivy that's growing up the fence.

 

Sunny intervals and light winds from the west south west temp 18c feels like 18c
The temp is not too bad.

 

Acuweather says only going to 29c today ... so why are we 33c already?

 

It’s not warm. I switched to long trousers.
Cloudy all day, 19c currently.
Bank holiday weekend will be rainy (eventually) and around 19c.
Next weekend, BBC says 26c.

 

Blustery here, with sunny intervals. Quite a bit of cloud just now, but no rain forecast until later this evening. Not cold, though, about 19 degrees. It’s been warm and dry enough to get my washing dry.

 

Windy out there can see the clothes drying up on the line . It did spot earlier to frighten us ! It’s down as rain for tomorrow OH is painting the outside of our bungalow, the worst bit the east side we’ve done so cracking on to get the rest done ! It’s 17c and breezy .

 

A mainly sunny day for a change after four days of cloud. Very windy but a reasonable 20c.
We have had just two hot days this month!

 

Bit of a change today feeling really cool in the wind even though the thermometer was reading 22c for a while.
A mixture of sun and cloud but just bright now, not keen on the forecasted winds, it always seems to happen around now that we get a gale just to smash everything to pieces that has grown for a couple of months with very little wind.

 

It's very breezy today and mostly cloud temp 17c feels like 17c

 

Got to 33,5c today. Now 27,5c and we got to sit out for 90 minutes before coming in now for dinner.

 

Wet and windy for most of the day with the temperature down another degree at 12C/54F. The heating's on this evening.

My daughter in Canada said they've had their first dribble of rain there for a couple of months, needing a lot more to get the wildfires under control. Apparently there's 360 burning at the moment.
