Rain here, but should break for this afternoon before heavier rain and very high winds overnight.

I’ll take my hanging baskets and lights down along with the usual precautions like extra securing of the poly greenhouse and moving any small pots to shelter etc.

None of the forecast rain materialised apart from a 5 second shower at 9.
I feel I’m done with this summer and I’m looking forward to the rainy autumn weather. I noticed that the new peat-free plants need literally daily watering.

Rain early this morning, continuing 'till mid-morning; 18 feels 15; blustery and overcast. I should have realised - the rain wasn't forecast, so I watered the pots yesterday... I'm done with pots, other than the essential few. Future planning to widen some borders and plant what needs minimal watering based on experience from next year. Gardens ought to be fun!

Most rubbish day for a few weeks, dismal and overcast most of the time plus a gusty wind blowing all the pots over and smashing plants.
Even some light drizzle in the wind now, so not improving as forecasted.

A sad old 19c max, not seen that for a while.

It rained most of the morning, which was good for the garden. Dry, but rather blustery this afternoon. Made our round of crazy golf a little more interesting. However, I just want to quietly let the world to know "THAT I WON".

We had a raptor watching day in the Cairngorms in 19 degrees and glorious sunny spells, spotted a Red Kite and a White Tailed Eagle, then into the cafe in Aboyne for a full Scottish breakfast and got a bottle of Malt Whisky next door, a most satisfactory day. Yellow warning for rain and wind for tonight/tomorrow.

23 is a bit more like it @Victoria - must seem really refreshing after all the days above 30.

I love the sound of your day @burnie!

Take care anyone facing storm ‘Lilian’ tonight.

It was windy most of the day with a bit of sun.

Tonight we are expecting 46mph winds with rain. There is an oak tree near the front of the house, which is getting a bit big. It's full of acorns, which have started to drop off like bouncing bombs on top of the car and lounge roof. Just hope that's all that drops off. Forgot to get the hanging basket down.

We didn't get the promised rain yesterday and not light enough to see whether we got the promised overnight rain. Extremely windy at the moment.

It has rained overnight and the wind is very gusty so I’m not looking forward to venturing out.

I hope nobody has damage or disruption.

Wet, windy start again. Supposed to clear up a bit, but a mix of showers, some sun, and some cloud all day, with more rain later tonight. O'night low is 10 degrees [10 just now at approx. 6.20am] with a predicted high of approx. 15. Stronger gusty winds later.
No weather warnings for us [for rain], despite the fact that we're in the line of this 'storm'. We had them the other day for that hurricane tail end, but we had more rain the previous week than we had with that. No rhyme or reason for these things. We're already at over 170mm rain for this month.

Yesterday wasn't bad, as it cleared up and was quite pleasant, with some sun, and the wind dropping a bit too. Some spits of rain later afternoon, then the rain started at night. The high was 16 degrees.
