What's your weather like August 2024

18c cloudy,bit of light rain this morning

 

Good morning all ,rain during the night ,feels fresher today with sun and cloud and a high of 19c.

 

Bright, damp start here, with the sun breaking through nicely. O'night low was 9 degrees [13 just now at approx. 8.15 am] and a predicted high of around 17, with a good breeze. Perfect for me.

Yesterday was mainly cloudy and quite humid, with a few breaks of sun and some very light, brief showers. Rain came in properly at 5pm, with no wind, so it was that nice steady consistent stuff that's perfect for the garden. The high was 21 due to the earlier humidity.

 

Bright, sunny and breezy. We are under the High Temp Warning till 7pm. Currently 20c, going to low 30s. It is tedious when it stays at the high for 2/3 hours. We need a break ... and rain.

Overcast, light breeze, comfortable temperature at last.

 

Well we wasn't supposed to have any rain but we did.
Light rain showers and a gentle breeze from the west temp 17c feels like 19c.

 

We also had a drop of light rain overnight, but barely damped the dust down. 15 degrees now but forecast higher, sunny with no breeze, nearest I will get to gardening is a trip to the GC to see what offers they can tempt me with.

 

We did have a couple of rain showers yesterday evening but nothing that the water butts would count as decent. It’s a pleasant 19 with slight breeze this morning, and light cloud just teasing us with glimpses of the sun.

 

No rain in the forecast here until (maybe, if we're lucky) Tuesday, but at least it's cool enough to get some things done around the house and garden!
It looks like it might be hot again on Monday though. Best plan for a fairly leisurely day then.

 

The rain hasn’t appeared here at Cromer. Hope it stays away we’re going on a boat trip on The Broads .Its cloudy and around 19c .

 

In the late 50s/early 60s we holidayed in Gt Yarmouth and Cousin Barry lived in Cromer so we used to visit. I have a picture of us on the beach with the men in suits sitting on the sand ...

It is about 28c here at the moment.

I find the BBC forecasts to be very optimistic about rain (as in, they forecast it but it doesn't happen).

I note that rainfall in London is much less at 67.65mm.

It’s a bit sad to see sunset times at the end of this month being around 8pm.
