Hi,

We didn't feel safe in bed so got up; terrific wind and rain are blasting our bungalow; one large gust really frightened us; it emitted a high pitched shriek from the bedroom window; we thought the window was going to be blown in. It's scary.

Removing the tall trees from the rear garden has now been worth the hard work; I'd have been out for sure with the chainsaw today cutting up wind damaged/fallen trees; it's happened for so many years but now at least there are only three huge trees left and I'll be surprised if these get blown down; both my chainsaws have new chains fitted so I'm ready for any tree problems.

We suffer extremes of weather here on the steep fully exposed valley side; better than snow though.

If it gets daylight I bet the garden is now cleared of leaves so it's not all bad news.

8 degrees and very windy with the odd light shower, I don't mind a shower, but not an odd one..........................
