It suddenly became quite gusty at midday, sycamore seeds were rattling onto the velux windows like hail. Now it's calm and sunny 14c

Been lovely and sunny all day but with a sharp breeze. Now 15,3c so guess that will be our top temp today.

A bit of a wild day here today! We have been hearing the wind gusts all day & it's forecast to continue into tomorrow morning. The wind, although stronger to what we are used to, is nothing to "write home about". We did however have a heavy shower at some point during the morning which I didn't see. I only saw a puddle in the kerbside of the road in front of our flat. I often use it to gauge how much it is raining or if it is raining.

We have had sunny periods but lots of cloud. There's been no more rain. The temps continue very mild for the last day of the autumn at 11C! I think they are about to fall again from tomorrow, the first day of the 2023/24 winter. Looking forward to spring though! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Its not been a bad day, mild at 12c and not really windy, until about an hour ago, some strong gusts now.
At least its been dry again.

The gale that was blowing last evening continued throughout the night. Today it has remained strong with a mixture of sunshine and showers. 4C/39F

Yesterday was fairly mild but the wind felt cold. Late afternoon the wind became very gusty and last night when driving home from my club in the next village there were a couple of trees down. I don't think they would have come down in the ground hadn't been so saturated from the very heavy rain a couple of days ago.

Wind has dropped now but forecast to come back later today.

                              Hi,

I hope Berry is feeling much better by now @Logan and also hope Barley isn't affected too. Best wishes to Berry.

What a terrible morning; the powerful wind has finally eased to just strong gusts driving heavy rain; I've just visited Morrison's & M&S. Morrison's car park was in blackout and with rain bucketing down I tried to open a Citroen Picasso drivers door; my Skoda Yeti parked next to it looked identical in the darkness; it was awful; I'm glad to be home safely. The car was displaying 10C but the rain didn't understand this so it was perishing and lots of it; just a normal day for us.

I'll turn the heating up in the studio and practice violin playing today; no way can I work outdoors the garden will be like a bog again; it's still not daylight but I think it's another day of cancelled daylight; ideal conditions though for making an horror movie. :dbgrtmb:

                              Kind regards, Colin.
