Whats Your Weather Like December 2024

It is 8f -12c and the guessers say it will only get a couple of degrees warmer. I don't care because I'll be in the kitchen baking cookies all day

 

We have had an hour or so of sunshine but generally brighter than the last week,
7c, the sun has gone now, but sunset is one minute later today than it was yesterday.

 

Dark and patchy cloud and a gentle breeze from the west temp 6c feels like 3c

 

After a miserable start, we got sunshine from 10 up to 3 in the afternoon.
I can't remember when we had so much sunshine. It was calm and no wind while sitting outside on the terrace for a coffee.

Daylight just arriving, hope it’s a pleasant day weather wise for pottering up the garden . Found a few Tulips and Aliums in the potting shed we had missed better get them planted up ! .

Good morning all ,a shower during the night ,a cloudy day with a high of 12c,windy but dry.

 

Bright cloudimess. 9c going to the mid teens.

 

A very overcast, breezy start, but unbelievably mild. O'night low was 6 degrees, which is more like we'd expect daytime temps to be at this time of year - if we were lucky! It's currently 10 degrees - at approx. 8.45am. Bizarre. It's to be around that all day, but the increasing winds will knock it back a bit. We have warnings for wind/rain later on.

Yesterday was ok as it brightened up a good bit in the afternoon, before we had a little light rain. Temps increased all day - 6 during daylight, and getting to 9 later at night, before dropping again.

 

Cloudy again but dry. Should reach 12c later. Our dehumidifier has switched itself on for the first time in a week.

 

Well I have to say the sun did break through for a while yesterday. Today is quite a bright start, but broken cloud means it won't be continuous, but I suppose we can't have it all.

 

The forecast says thick cloud and 11c, but it seems a bit looser than that with some gaps and brighter patches. A gentle breeze. Not bad.
