Whats Your Weather Like December 2024

8c and damp

 

A dryish start here, although it's cloudy, and still damp because of that low cloud, although it's too dark to see properly yet. O'night low was 9 degrees [9 just now at approx. 8.10am] and it's to stay largely dry, fingers crossed, with a high of about 11 degrees. Records are being broken up here for the time of year, although it's to be more normal next week thank goodness!

Yesterday was smirry all day, with a few slightly heavier spells of rain. The high was 11 degrees, with a good breeze.

 

Sun is up. 8c going to high teens .

 

I can see snow, it's deep and crisp and even (but only on one of the Christmas cards I've had I'm glad to say )
the real weather is typical Christmas Day weather - low clouds mist and drizzle,
but I don't care, it's very mild and that's fine by me

It’s turning into a very sunny Christmas here

 

Early this morning we had fog now it's starting to lift. Light cloud and light winds from the south west temp 10c feels like 8c

 

After doing the garden for an hour - balsam for the soul - I had a walk for an hour. It was grey and a kind of drizzle all the time. But I don’t mind like @Michael Hewett as long as it’s not cold

 

Sat out for an hour and watered the Adeniums and Hibiscus as all were gasping. Sunny with scattered puffy white clouds, 15,5c and hardly a breeze.

 

Grey and miserable damp, hardly mild either at 9c.

 

Good morning all.
Looks like today will be the same as yesterday: grey, feeling wet and mild.
Looking at the forecast, it looks like we may get colder temperatures next week.
I do hope that there is no frost that Friday morning next week. I'm booked in for the annual service/MOT and was quite happy that they can do it next week when the weather forecast was nice. I hate driving on icy roads and wouldn't normally do it.
