Whats Your Weather Like December 2024

Drizzle and heavy mist 5c.

 

A damp start here, but too dark to see if it's misty rather than cloudy. O'night low was 7 degrees [8 just now at approx. 8.10am] with a predicted high of around 9. Much the same as recent weather - damp/smirry and light breezes for most of the day.

Yesterday was like that. Smirry and cloudy. High of 10 degrees. To get back to more normal weather and temps by next week. This ridiculously warm weather isn't healthy!

 

A clear sky ans sunny, 9c going to mid teens with sun and cloud.

 

Good morning all ,a beautiful red sky this morning very still with a high of 8c so not as warm.

 

Arrggghhhhh sums it up. Where's the *§!@**&* SUN! Every day this week, the météo has promised sun to a greater or lesser degree and every day it's the same grey, cold and utterly miserable yuk. I wish I was a chicken. They don't seem to mind, wrapped in their lovely, feathery overcoats, kicking hell out of the grass in their parc and the orchard. The cats just sleep through it and come alive at night, killing anything small and squeaky that's daft enough to poke a nose out of a hole. I've not tried them up until now, but think I'm going to have to get some of those lamps that produce fake sunlight...something the size and power of a rugby-stadium spotlight should do the trick

 

Quite different to yesterday which was bright and sunny. Today is misty, damp but still mild at 11C.

 

It's misty ... can't see the fields on yonder hill. Can't see yonder hill at all. Can't see any hills, out the front or out the back.
I don't know if it's cold or not, I haven't been outside yet but will be going later on, fed up with being indoors now.

 

It's Samaze day, same as yesterday

 

Been a nice enough morning, managed to summon up some strength to chop a bit of wood up for kindling(an old fence, waste not want not).
It's the same as Portugal...............9 degrees forecast to go to........................8 degrees, not quite the same as Portugal, but then we are level with the Baltic, north of Copenhagen in Polar Bear territory.(Nearly)

 

We strangely went overcast after I posted this morning and it was a gloomy morning. The sun managed to break up the cloud so we are back to sunny with broken cloud but now a sharp breeze from the SSE at 21 kph and gusts of 43 kph. Nice if you are in the sun sheltered but otherwise ........... brrr! The cats wouldn't even go out till about an hour ago.

 

Bright cloud is covering the sky. It is very still and mild. 33f .5c

 

When I was in the park this morning the fog appeared to be lifting and some blue was showing through the gloom above, since then the fog has come back down and visibility is probably about 150 yards.
Mild, no they keep saying mild, but 6c aint bloody mild, it could be colder agreed, but stand still and the cold and damp really get at you.

 

All the way down from our sons et all must must fog fog ! Stopped to pick a few groceries up at Abergavenny it was still the same but icey in the air . Reviving with a cuppa and a homemade ginger biscuit getting ready for our family to come for a quick Turkey curry ! It still feels Christmassy .

 

Looking on the bright side, we have gained 2 minutes extra gloom than we had on the shortest day.
