Whats Your Weather Like December 2024

Right, surfaced from Christmas visiting and hosting! 24th and 25th were sunny and mild, 26th and 27th damp and foggy/misty, then I've been away for a couple of days so I don't know what it's been doing. OH says it was damp enough that he couldn't wash the spare room bedding and towels while I was away on family visiting / taxi service for parents duty.

 

And I would love a day like @CanadianLori is having with 24 hours of steady rain to look forward to. Don't know when we will see it again.

 

A calm day but it's now been raining for more than 24 hours. 11C/52F

 

We had sunshine for 2 hours, followed by clouds and then again a mix of clouds and sunshine.
The BBC says the freeze will only last for 1 week, which is the good news.
Now the bad news. We have a heavy wind warning starting tomorrow and lasting until Thursday.
It also says minus 3 c at night for Thursday and Friday night. If I look at the German forecast, they say even -5c for Friday morning.
Believe me, if I had the service/MOT next week we had warm weather this week and frost next week. You are probably wondering why I make such a fuss about it - because this happens every time.

7c cloudy and dark again

 

It looks like the fog has finally gone and it's a bit warmer at 6c.
The paths even look dry.

 

A couple of hours of sunshine is on the cards, they say. Hope they're right this time!
Otherwise it's a cloudy sort of day but dry and around 10C

 

Still dark here waiting for our morning visitors on the bird feeder to arrive . Can see the contour of the mountain opposite at last the mist has lifted. Nice day yesterday could actually look up and see the sky rather than clouds.Off to local equine shop near Chepstow racecourse later to get some wild bird seed , have a good day everyone .

 

A wet, windy start here, which is to be a main feature for the next few days, with temps dropping to more normal levels later in the week, and bringing snow/ice/frost. O'night low was very high again at 8 degrees [8 just now at approx. 8.15 am] with a predicted high of about 10. Very, very mild still, although the wind will knock it back a bit. It's to be less windy through later afternoon and early evening, before picking up again and continuing all night, with speeds in excess of 50mph.

Yesterday was generally dry, with some showers, and windy all day. The high was 9 degrees.

 

Bright and sunny but a bit brisk at 6c going to mid/high teens.

 

Cloudy but no mist today.
The New Year is apparently starting with high winds and rain which will then leave a cold few days ahead, maybe even some snow flurries.

 

Good morning all ,a cloudy windy day,with a splash of rain ,a high of 11c forecasted.

 

Similar thing, the mist has cleared the cloud base is higher but still no breaks in the cloud. At least it's dry.
