Whats Your Weather Like December 2024

Blowing hooley up 'ere. 55 mph winds, dry and 10 degrees, good day for drying washing if only the towels would stay pegged on the line.

 

6c dull and gloomy

 

It is 34f 1c. It rained all night and the wind was making the house shudder once in awhile. The guessers are saying if will only get a degree or so warmer or maybe not. And maybe the rain will turn to snow. I'm all set for it. I gave the barbecue a good cleaning yesterday and it's all set for wintery grilling

 

A real treat, a proper dry day with some sunny spells but still a lot of cloud.
Anyway a big improvement on what seems to have been a week of soaking gloom.

The rain has stopped at last and the lawn is like a bog. A grey, damp day but calm, and the sun appeared for 15 minutes earlier. Wow! 6C/43F

 

The usual grey skies with added drizzle all morning but a brief glimpse of the sun for half an hour was the week's highlight!!! a reasonably mild10c.

 

We had sun for the whole day. It was a shame it went down at about 4pm. What a waste.

Tomorrow the winds will pick up and there is a weather warning for NY's day for double blobs and gales all day.

Then the cold weather starts on Thursday, with frosts of -4c. I reckon it could snow next weekend.

It became quite overcast this morning then the sun found us again and we got to 16c, now 12c.

 

We had a bit of sun in the afternoon and a gentle breeze from the south west temp 8c feels like 6c

 

It's been very mild today, and sunny.

 

We had no sunshine all day yesterday, but it was 'warm' with 7c, no wind and dry which makes a huge difference.
11c with sunshine and strong winds from 1 PM on until Wednesday morning it says.
It will be the humidity that will stress many plants in the garden. A humidity of 90% during the night from tomorrow to Thursday and frost makes to a perfect ice cover

The wet and windy weather should be arriving just as I finish work today. I usually like to go into the garden on NYD just to look for signs of bulbs and buds coming… that probably won’t be happening. I must put some bird food out though, as it will be icy cold at the end of the week.
