What's your weather like FEBRUARY 2024

Just got back from a lovely drive to the West Coast, sunny all the way but saw three Part rainbows coming back. Sunny and gusty/breezy at home, 15.5c.

Been very Autumnal here, thick fog in the morning, then the sun peeped out and we went for a walk, not been over 5 degrees all day.

 

The Medway has burst its banks in the town apparently, it been raining most of the day and got heavier as the late afternoon came on.

 

We had a lot of rain overnight but when we got up there was no more rain - that's until about 4pm when it started again. When I went to the shops with my grandkids, just 5pm, it was still raining but lightly. It's no longer raining at 6.30pm. But there is a yellow weather warning for heavy rain from 7pm this evening to 12 noon tomorrow.

I took some pictures this morning of the river Ouse at its pass through Huntingdon & they look quite impressive! Fortunately the town centre is very unlikely to get flooded as there is plenty of room for the water to expand on the far side from town.

On the town side of the river there's a lot of room also as we have a park alongside the river which also acts as a buffer to the rising waters. I've seen a lot more water in the river in past years, especially in January 2010 when the heavy snowfall of December 2009 and January 2010 were melted away with a week or two of heavy rain. Not even that year did the river flood the town centre.

Good morning all…. 4c here, dry at the moment

 

The fog lifted at 6am, now it's just cloudy with light winds from the north west temp 5c feels like 2c.

 

A bit of drizzle so overcast, 10c going to 18c. Maybe a bit more drizzle this morning.

 

Very wet out there looking like it's only just stopped raining.
Looks like another grotty day weather wise.

Oh pete!!! You seem to have a permanent rain cloud over your way!!
Thankfully we are having a bit of respite from the rain at the moment but more drizzle to come maybe around lunchtime. Currently 9C and dare I say it....sunny...sorry .

 

Suns come out, hooray! some showers though but a dry day forecast for tomorrow.
