    Tree now cleared.

I bet there were a lot of irate commuters trying to get to the station two miles down the road. They never leave enough time for diversions.

5 degrees and mostly sunny, not a breath of wind, so might go for a walk to the lighthouse, need a couple of gravel trays too, Onions will need potting on soon.

It's been bright all morning but appears to be clouding over now.
            A very gusty wind blowing

                      We need some rain.:roflol:
To top my pond up, I drained three of my water butts topping up the pond last week.
Last measurable rain was 21st of January, 10mm, before that it was the first week of January.

The wind is pretty rough here, and its raining, but nothing heavy.

We're in for pretty heavy downpours all night as the band works it's way across from the West, so I should imagine you'll get a good soaking at some point pete that will fill your pond. But we careful what you wish for!!!

I'm not wishing for it, living in England all these years you get out of wishing for rain as you know you will always get it at some point.

I just thought it was a bit strange to have to top up the pond in February and being able to cut the grass in February, living the dream.

We had a dry but very windy morning, well day really, as the rain didn't arrive till 5pm! It was forecast for earlier but arrived later! We had a few moments of brightness during the morning but no sunshine. As we had a cold wind all day I don't think temps got into double figures at all after the night came to an end. At present (9pm) we have only 5C with rain which is forecast to continue until after midnight. Our temps overnight are expected to be a little above freezing with just 3C at 6am! One the day gets under way we expect to see only 7C max but no sunshine & no rain. The winds will veer to the NE & swing about between NE, N & back to NE. So a very cold day in store for us all tomorrow!

We 've had so much rain lately that we've had to drain all 6 water butts as they were just overflowing. Heart breaking to have to do as in Summer we end up desperate for them to be full!
