Good morning all. Yesterday was a beautiful winter day with wall to wall sunshine, even if it was cold, well, today it is shaping up to be a similar one! Clear skies at present but some odd clouds during breakfast time. The rest of the day is expected to be very sunny. Temps are forecast to be a degree or 2 higher than yesterday. Now, at 6am we have 1C positive whereas yesterday we had - 1C negative. Temps during the day are expected to reach a max of around 5/6C. So again a couple of degrees more than yesterday.

First frost of the year with now a clear sky and a gentle breeze from the north east temp 1c feels like -4c
at the moment it doesn't feel very breezy so it doesn't feel too bad, yesterday it was very cold with a moderate breeze.
Just finished the first walk of the day and now I'm sitting with a hot water bottle under my feet and I've got my slippers on with a blanket over my legs, it's the only way to get my feet warm again.

            Hi,

Not the best of mornings to be walking Barley & Berry this morning @Logan. I hope they didn't get their paws too cold; you'll soon warm up back indoors.

Dark; wet and cold again so everything's normal. Yesterday the patio and paths were dry which is rare and I wanted to clear the oak leaves with the Makita cordless blower; the battery was discharged so now today with the battery fully charged the leaves are wet again. GRRRRRRR. :wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging:

            Kind regards, Colin.

Sun coming up and again just below zero.
Seems less windy than yesterday morning.

First frost of the year, -3c overnight. It's -2 now with a high of 5c forecast. There is a slight mist, due for a bit of sun once that clears.

Still at 0C ( feel like temp -4) but beautifully sunny. Just came back from a walk up to the top of our lane to catch the postal collection.

                      Very cold but refreshing.

@Logan, that's the way to get chilblaines !!!:yikes:

I have thermal socks and thermal liners in my walking boots and my feet remain toasty warm. Since my fusions my feet are ultra sensitive to extreme temperatures, due to nerve damage or something ,not too sure.

@Retired thanks but they have to go out and it's not as bad as yesterday at the moment, there's no breeze but that could change, at least there's no ice to deal with.
That's how things go when you have to do anything this time of year.

Thanks @Upsydaisy but I've got my slippers and socks on and it's only a gentle warmth just nice and cosy. I have thermal socks on but there's no difference, it's just my feet.
You have probably got nerve damage from the operation on your feet.

Cloudy and 5 degrees, forecast to be bright and colder tomorrow, hoping to go to the ski slopes in the Cairngorms, not I hasten to add to do any skiing, just filming the wildlife.
