It looks like dusty dust, as we live next door to a farm and when they bed down the bullocks with a straw choper we sometimes get the dust and light bits of straw heading our way, + the dust on the side of the road when big vehicles past through and windy is in the right way we get it, if we sit out back of house and having a drink we sometimes get the dust come over the house and to where we are sitting so i keep the road clean as much as pos to make it better for us but some people think i'm nuts in cleaning up the road, some commets "why are you clean up they mess etc" 5 minutes with a bush and shovel don't hurt any one and it looks clean even if it's only for a few minutes:biggrin:

      4c some sunny bits

It is overcast again but not dumping anything. It is now up to 19c -7c and at long last winter has at least made an effort to get started. I've always been a believer of "if it doesn't get started, it won't get finished with". The guessers say that we'll start getting really cold now. :)

Still holding on to the sunshine so we're setting off for a nice leisurely walk.

                    Hi,

I couldn't agree with you more @john558 Just close the met office down also replace the weather forecasters with something equally boring like the never ending sport.

£M's spent on satellites and technology and I think the met office would still get it wrong if they were standing under a cloudburst.

I've stopped looking at the daily joke so like you @john558 I look out of the window. I used to be silly and if the met office declared rain then I planned around it but the number of times it's been dry.

The only credit I can give the met office is their daily temperature forecast; this used to match with what the car displayed. Heavy coat in summer and in winter heavy coat and jumper covers it. :dbgrtmb:

                    Kind regards, Colin.

Well today someone at the Met Office must have read my posts because today they have got it right - more or less! We were forecast sunny intervals among the clouds & that is what we got! Rather more sunshine through the morning than forecast at 6.30am but the afternoon is shaping up to look like this morning's predictions!

We don't have an external thermometer so can only go by the Met Office's predictions for temps. It seemed warmer than forecast but then I don't often look at the "Feels like" measurements so it's difficult to know.No doubt the light wind helped to keep the temps up a little.

from tonight we are forecast at least a week of temps below zero every night & daytime temps only around 4 or 5C at most. So a cold week in store though I doubt very much that any snow will be "on the menu" or the coming week.

Just clearing here now as the sun goes down, a bit warmer than yesterday at 5c.
Probably going to be sub zero tonight.

Admittedly I dont like all the nowcasting that goes on but the forecasters do, I think, try to be too specific at times, probably because that's what people want.
