Calm and sunny, 18c.

 

It is fairly mild a 31f -1c and it is snowing. There is a snowstorm coming through but according to the guessers, we'll only get maybe an inch or two as the main storm will skirt around us.

 

We have reached 20c ... in January!

 

Its just damp, not really raining, just damp, and a bit windy, but if it doesn't get any stronger it will be good.

Rain all the afternoon but now it's stopped. Gusty winds from the south west temp 12c feels like 11c

 

The wind is picking up again, probably not as bad as further north as we have no wind warning, but it was much higher during the last storm than forecast.

I see it reached 70mph at E. Malling during that one which was about 10mph above the forecasted speed, my location is a bit higher up than Malling so may have got a higher speed.

 

Rain and wind all day and it's currently building up to gale force again. 4C/39F

 

Well Jocelyn has been better behaved than Isha - for the moment at least! We did have a few hours of rain during the morning & the wind has been rather stronger than it would normally be. We also had a little rain around 7pm I think, but I can hear the wind blowing quite strongly now. It's supposed to get stronger during the night & start to pull away tomorrow. All in all I think it's been a colder day here today than it was yesterday even though we are supposed to have 13C at this time of the evening! During the night 12-13C is forecast to be our min! But as Wednesday rolls on it will get progressively colder until 10am when it's expected to start to increase once more. But even then it will only get as high as 10C! So our min will be 3C higher than our max tomorrow! On the plus side we are not forecast any more rain & it will be a day of sunshine & clouds.

Hi,

The high wind returned around tea time yesterday and since then it's been doing it's best to remove our bungalow from the valley side; I think the wind has adopted us it likes it so much here. I've just been up the garden to inspect the roof; it's still in place.

At 3:40 this morning I went into the bathroom to yet another black hole; no lights; wander down to the workshop to reset the mcb whilst being buffeted by powerful wind; all part of life's fun here on the valley side. Roll on our two days of summer.

Sunny, 12c going to 20c or so ... we are in for a warm week.

 

Mostly cloud with a bit of blue sky, still very windy from the west temp 8c feels like 6c, not too bad really.
