What's your weather like January 2024

Lovely sunny day and thoroughly enjoyed our walk into town this morning....it was quite Spring like!! 11C. Temps are beginning to dip now at night low 5C..


We have an old freezer in a sheltered spot ( or so we had thought), waiting for me to decide how I can reuse the glass shelves in the greenhouse....as you do..waste not want not!!
The wind was so strong that it actually toppled it over and if it wasn't for our stored wooded table next to propping it up it would've crashed right over. Our Caravan covers were ripped and so was another section of our lean to cold frame.

 

Apparently there's a huge meteor shower going on overhead, but it's thick cloud and tipping it down with rain, so nothing seen.

 

Calm again with light rain for most of the day. 4C/39F

Some people mistakenly think we have better weather down here in the South..............Hey ho yet another weather warning for heavy rain, our lane is impersonating a river now, and doing a very good job at it!

Usual black hole but so far no rain and no wind although it poured down again during the night. temperatures dropping; frost; ice & snow can't be far away.

Retired, I can guarantee that your' black hole' is no worse than anyone else's.... you need to just put a positive head on

Hurray, we had 5mm of rain yesterday. Not much after so long without and probably won't phase our dams but my garden loved it.

Currently lightly overcast 10c going to mid teens and the possibility of a shower.

 

Sunny and 6c but heavy rain forecasted for later and overnight.

 

We've just finished repairing the damage out in the garden/ caravan cover and hopefully everything is battened down/ water tight now before our next lot of rain arrives this afternoon.
We've donned our waterproofs and are now heading out to Southampton to reward ourselves with a meal out.
