Whats your Weather Like July 2023

Best part of the day since 4ish, lovely Sunshine with no wind.

After yesterday's heat it's felt more comfortable today. Rain appeared late evening along with fog and was still around early this morning. The sun appeared late morning and is still here. 22C/72F

 

Just under 30c now, high was 33c with a breeze all day.

 

At 3pm it started raining, then it got heavier and heavier. I was out in it walking Barley, i found a tree to shelter under but it got too much. Hubby had to come round in the car to take us home. After that we had a thunderstorm and very heavy rain. Now it's a bit cloudy and a gentle breeze from the south west temp 16c feels like 17c.

 

We have just come in, 26c with a lovely breeze, but I am old and tired ... ... need to stretch my legs out.

 

Our day turned out very much like predicted at 6am this morning! It has felt cooler, especially outside in the street, in the flat it hasn't felt all that different to the last few days. Because of how the strong light affects my wife's eyes we live in almost permanent penumbra! The curtains are closed & are ceiling to floor & double, with the inner ones, (against the windows), being thermals. Even the kitchen has the Venetian blinds closed all day - but the sunlight enters the kitchen about 1pm & is very brilliant & even I have to screw up my eyes! It doesn't leave the kitchen till the sun sets either!

This morning we had more clouds than sunshine but later in the afternoon the sun came out & for most of the pm we had brilliant sunshine.

We went round to our son's house for tea this afternoon & were able to have it outside on their small patio. The sun was falling at the back of their garden & as the sky was mostly clear we were dazzled by the sunlight. Fortunately they have a very big sunshade so my wife was protected from the majority of the sunlight - I wasn't so lucky! But I just turned my back to it & it hardly bothered me.

It was a very pleasant couple of hours, not too hot nor cold & the breeze hardly bothered us.

Max temps for the day were around 22C as forecast this morning. No rain & only a light wind.
