What's Your Weather Like July 2024

Sunny with some patchy cloud and light winds from the south temp 21c feels like 21c

 

I thought I was bad, too hot for me starts somewhere in the 22 - 25C range depending on breeze, humidity, shade/cloud cover.

 

Well, the clouds have bubbled up and there is no wind at all out there, so although there is still blue sky around the clouds just aint moving and totally blocking the sun.

Its was 26c at this time yesterday, not touched 23c yet.

 

At 1 o’clock I changed to long trousers and fleece jacket. Can’t see 24c happening today, unless I go into the greenhouse. Sky is covered with a type of cirrus… clouds.

Its cleared now, always does around the 4pm mark and its up to 27c now.

 

The week ahead

 

23c at the moment and lots of butterflies have been around. Gentle breeze. Will be much hotter over the next few days. No sign of rain.

 

24C here and that's cooler than it was a couple of hours ago. Bearable in the shade.

We are surrounded by people who either claim "climate change, earth is getting warmer, human made" and the opposite "weather has always changed over the thousands of years, there is no proof that it is human made". When I gave a few weeks ago that Alice Roberts quote about a professor who had found that there was a rapid change in climate inside decades (less than 100 years) that contradicts what many climate change supporters say "there has never been such rapid change in temperatures as today".

The problem is that many don't realise that our increase in population on earth is just down to the fact that we have had a relatively stable climate in the last 100 years that allowed to produce food for almost all on every continent. With the recent flooding in Germany this year, or our drought from 2022, that is just half of it what used to be common occurrences hundreds of years ago. Most people who have studied are none the wiser and still think in middle-age categories "what I see today has always been like that".

I've long had an interest in Chaos Theory as well as Quantum Physics. Together, they point to a universe that our greatest minds have only begun to grasp.

 

It was just right for me today when under the parasol. Very hot bare foot on patio so it must have been pretty warm.

 

Watering pots just now - 25C and humid, with unbroken sunshine.

 

It is 31.1c now with 61% humidity which is uncomfortable for us so have come in.

 

It’s now warmer inside than outside. 25c inside, just to my taste.

 

It's been a nice day, not too hot.
